Our mission is to solve the difficult asset based problems faced by today's corporation. Our solutions are different from those of a liquidator or auctioneer because we focus on more than just an asset sale. Instead, our solutions address all of the requirements that span a customer's global asset transition needs.

Asset Auctions is a company designed to service corporate clients and governmental entities with ongoing asset recovery needs. While we can certainly handle the needs of companies with short term projects, our strength is in building asset transition programs that assist clients in ever changing environments. We firmly believe that our level of service and distinct asset recovery tools are unequalled in the industry.

We spend a great deal of time customizing a program that works for you. Once we have determined your ongoing requirements for asset sales, we lock in a fair compensation rate that is applied universally to all asset sales (whether complete plants or individual items) over the life of the contract. This eliminates repeated negotiations and greatly streamlines the disposal process. A permanent account manager is then assigned to you whose sole focus is to ensure that your assets are properly managed. Always acting in your best interest, your account manager will make sure that your asset recovery goals are achieved to your satisfaction. Having an Asset Auctions dedicated account manager is a tremendous advantage to companies and agencies striving to operate in the most efficient manner.

SHAWN D. ALLEN, President, Pittsburgh, PA
For the past six years Shawn has managed complete Asset Recovery programs for global 1,000 customers, designing comprehensive asset management systems tailored to individual customer needs. Prior to Asset Auctions, Shawn worked at FreeMarkets as the General Manager of the Asset Recovery Business Unit. Shawn holds an MBA in Organizational Behavior and an MA in Applied Statistics from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a BS in Mathematics from Allegheny College, Meadville, PA.

SCOTT W. BRITTON, Vice President of Operations, St. Louis, MO
Scott is our senior Auctioneer and Appraiser and a 3rd generation licensed industrial auctioneer, with over 25 years of experience in the industrial machinery industry. He has managed Asset Recovery programs for many multi-national companies such as General Motors, Visteon and TRW Automotive. Scott has an MBA, and a BS in Valuation Sciences, each from Lindenwood University, St. Louis, MO. Scott maintains the following professional credentials:

  • Licensed Auctioneer in the following states: AL, AR, CA, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MS, MO, NC, OH, PA, SC, TN, TX, VT, VA, WA, WI, WV.

Michael has spent the last twenty years working in the used equipment industry as a dealer, auctioneer and appraiser. He is a member of the American Society of Appraisers (Candidate) and continues to take courses on appraisal practice. Michael holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics and Applied Science from UCLA.
